COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM TRAINING

The Emerald Mountain Volunteer Fire Department, in conjunction with the Elmore County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), is offering interested citizens 13 years of age and up, an opportunity to become certified in Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training beginning September 14th.

CERT is a free 24-hour training course that prepares citizens to help themselves, their families, and their neighbors during emergencies and disasters, until professionally-trained first responders arrive on scene. During large-scale incidents, emergency first responders may not be able to reach everyone right away. Trained CERT members can help in a number of ways, including saving lives and property.
